Fran Hughes

Mini-Retirement Coach & Certified Financial Planner

Fran Hughes is a financial coach who authored her own hero's journey. As a 14-year old finding herself in a financial predicament, Fran chose to use her lateral-thinking approach to pay her way through private school, complementing school learning with financial education and in doing so, discovering her passion for financial coaching. A business owner with 35 years’ experience, Fran has built and sold several award-winning financial planning firms, retiring several times between projects. She believes that the face of retirement is evolving, with many opting to take mini-retirements throughout their careers, just as she did. She is a well-respected active member of the community as the FPA Chapter Chair, future2 foundation ambassador, finance columnist for the West Australian newspaper and regular finance expert on radio. In 2020 and 2021, Fran was awarded FS Power Australia's Top50 most influential financial advisor.
