Marketing Assistant/Intern (Casual)
This is a casual position, initially expected to run for approximately six months, with an anticipated three days per week, ideally Tuesday to Thursday. The role will support our busy marketing team during a period of increased events and marketing deliverables.
Working across the MW Group’s portfolio of brands (Momentum Wealth and Westbridge Funds Management) is an opportunity to build practical marketing experience, contribute ideas and develop your skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.
As Perth’s only full-service property investment consultancy, Momentum Wealth helps investors build successful property portfolios through a range of services under one roof. Our funds management arm, Westbridge Funds Management, gives investors access to commercial property and residential development investment opportunities.
About the Role:
The Marketing Assistant/Intern will support the marketing team across content, digital communications, reporting, events and administration. This is a hands-on role suited to a current student or recent graduate who wants broad exposure to an in-house marketing function and the opportunity to turn ideas into practical outcomes.
Working closely with the Group Marketing Manager and marketing specialists, you will assist with day-to-day campaign delivery across Momentum Wealth, Westbridge Funds Management and other MW Group initiatives. You will help keep our digital channels up to date, create, repurpose and schedule content for social media, support email campaign communications and contribute to events and partnership activity.
You will receive guidance and feedback from the team while taking ownership of clearly defined tasks. The role requires strong attention to detail, sound organisation and a willingness to learn new platforms and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with monthly marketing reporting by gathering results, updating dashboards and compiling channel performance information for review.
- Upload and format approved content across company websites, including articles, landing-page updates, images and downloadable resources.
- Build, test and schedule EDMs, newsletters and other email communications using approved templates and supplied content.
- Create on-brand Canva designs for social media, presentations, events, internal communications and other marketing materials. This includes brand template roll out.
- Support social media content preparation, video editing, scheduling, optimisation and asset management across relevant channels.
- Assist with event planning and delivery including invitations, registrations, suppliers, collateral, run sheets, venue preparation and on-the-day support.
- Support delivery of the partnership commitments, including coordinating content, promotional assets, event activity, approvals and agreed deliverables.
- Some article and content writing required.
- Complete credit card receipting and supporting administration accurately and on time, maintaining clear records for reconciliation.
- Maintain organised marketing files, templates, image libraries, content calendars and project records.
- Liaise professionally with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to help keep tasks and deliverables on track.
- Participate in team planning meetings, contribute ideas and assist with campaign and cross-functional projects as required.
- Assist the Group Marketing Manager and other team members with general marketing and administrative support as required.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Currently studying, or recently completed, a qualification in marketing, communications, digital media, design, business or a related field.
- Strong written communication skills and a sound understanding of Australian English spelling and grammar.
- Confident using Canva, with an eye for layout, brand consistency and visual detail.
- Basic video editing capability, or a willingness to learn how to create short-form social content from longer videos.
- Comfortable working with digital platforms and learning website content management, email marketing and reporting systems.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when checking links, formatting, names, dates, data and brand presentation.
- Good organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage several tasks and meet agreed deadlines.
- A proactive, reliable and collaborative approach, with confidence asking questions and acting on feedback.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to work with colleagues, partners and suppliers.
