Momentum Wealth has merged with Perth-based property investment firm, Mair Group, to create one of Western Australia’s largest property investment advisors.
The merger combines Mair Group’s commercial property investment services with Momentum Wealth’s residential property investment services providing a greater service offering to the clients of both companies.
Importantly, Momentum Wealth clients will have direct access to commercial property syndicates, trusts and managed funds, as well as the significant expertise and skill set of Mair Group’s commercial property team.
Under the merger agreement, Momentum Wealth’s name, branding, staff and office location will not change.
Furthermore, Momentum Wealth clients will continue to receive the same high-quality, advice-driven service that they’ve come to expect.
The merger took effect from July 1, 2015.
Momentum Wealth founder and managing director Damian Collins said he was delighted to be joining forces with another highly reputable property investment firm.
“The merger will provide our clients with an independent and holistic service offering for both residential and commercial property investment,” he said.
Mair Group founder and Chairman John Mair said he was extremely excited about the merger and the opportunities that would arise.
“The businesses are a great fit and their respective services are a true complement to each other, which will be highly beneficial for our clients.”
Mair Group was founded in 1966 by John Mair and has grown into an integrated property investment firm, which includes Mair Property Funds and Mair & Co.
Mair Property Funds specialises in commercial property trusts, syndicates and managed funds and currently manages 14 trusts that hold a diverse range of commercial property valued at more than $150 million.
The agency business, Mair & Co, is a Perth-based realtor offering commercial leasing, sales and property management.
Following the merger, Damian Collins will remain as Momentum Wealth managing director and be appointed as a director of Mair Property Funds.
John Mair will act as a consultant to Mair & Co and remain a director of Mair Property Funds Ltd.
